If your desired costume booking/production month does not appear on the dropdown, it means that the month has been booked. Please keep in mind that "Booking" times are production times, not delivery times. Book your costume 4-6 weeks prior to need by date.
Floating "Waitlist" appointments are usually available during various timeframes. Floating "Waitlist" appointments are handled during "down-time" of our regularly booked costumes. Down-time is when we are waiting for customer feedback, fittings of costumes that are currently in production, and/or specific materials to complete costumes that are in production. With most of our customers being thousands of miles away from us, remote fittings can take up to 10 days, leaving us with time to take floating "Waitlisted" orders.

Turn-Around Time for Dance Costumes
Our current published turn-around time is 4-6 weeks for a soloist fully custom costume, depending upon detail requirements. Please see our FAQ Page with details responding to the "How Long Does It Take to Get A Custom Costume?" question.
Semi-customs can sometimes be ready within 24-48 hours.
Customized costumes can sometimes be ready in 8 hours.
OUR BASIC CUSTOM BASE COSTUME SERVICE DEPOSIT

This listing is for our base brand of custom costumes made to order, specifically made to your performer’s measurements or in the case of multiple costumes to more standardized sizing.
By placing this deposit, you will be scheduling a custom costume or leotard sans-rhinestones for production, with this deposit money going toward the total of your costume cost. Be sure to let us know your need-by date. While we have been known to produce and deliver a fully custom costume in a short period of time, you should book your production date 4-6 weeks in advance of your “need-by” date.
HMDA Costumes come sans-rhinestones, which means NO stones & NO Embellishments.

HOW IT WORKS
- You pay for the item (deposit)
- We meet (usually text, DM, video chat or telephone)
- During this convo, we will have questions about your wants and needs.
- Budget (see our ranges in our costume brand comparison table)
- Timeline
- Measurements
- You will be kept updated during the creation of your base or contemporary ensemble
- We like to do a fitting, this is done remotely with video chat or in person if you live locally.
Shipped fittings must be paid in full. - Costume will be shipped insured to you sans-rhinestones once the balance, if any, is paid.
All agreements are done via text/DM. Any items discussed in person, telephone, or video chat will be recapped so that we have a record of items agreed upon or changed, if applicable.

Soloist Custom Dance Costumes
The pattern for your order is best if it is made to your precise measurements. We are all about the fit; so if you have to pay for a pattern to be created, we do that to your specific size & measurements.
Multiple Custom Dance Costumes
In order to cut costs on group, trio, or duet costumes, you may want to order by standardized or averaged sizing whenever possible. There is a pattern charge for each size of the pattern and each variance.
Ready-Made Products In Our Stores
Our stores’ products are made to both standardized general sizing, shown at right, and measurements that are equivalent to current customers. If the costume was made to measurements other than our standardized general sizing, exact specifications will be listed on the product listings.

General Pricing of Custom Costumes
Average Price & Range on ContenderWear™
It is important to note why the average price and range has been increasing. Materials and shipping have been increasing at a good rate. Customers who insist on very specific, hard-to-get supplies may need them from various suppliers, doubling, tripling, and even quadrupaling the shipping rates on the products. We have also seen a demand increase in the amount of baubles on our costumes. Depending upon the brand requested this can add anywhere from $150 to $700 in decorations

At the onset of your order, it is important that we know your costuming ideas, if any, your budget, and time-line.
Ready-Made Products In Our Stores
Our ready-made, ready-to-ship costumes and products are usually made for showcasing our skills. They are shown on models, if possible, and we discount them. If you want one made in your size, it is subject to a new cost estimate, which is not necessarily the list price of our showcase work. It all depends on size, materials required, labor, at that point in time.
