Costuming Service Deposit for Aug 2026 – June 2027

Secure your booking a semi-custom dance costume under our Plain Brown Label™ brand by sending us a base garment or bra, and we’ll transform it into a one-of-a-kind, stage-ready design!

Base Provided by Customer – Enhancement Services from $200

Some dancers prefer to send us a base (top & bottoms, unitard, or leotard)¹ of their choosing. We work our magic to enhance and customize it into a semi-custom Plain Brown Label™ costume—a budget-friendly way to get a unique, competition-ready look.

If you’re not using our base, we recommend Patrick J Designs, where you can typically find a base under $200.

Bra Provided by Customer – Costuming Services from $350

Some performers prefer a specific bra style for comfort or support. Whether you need a built-in bra for a custom costume or a bra-style top requiring additional custom pieces (pants, briefs, skirt, accessories), we can create a semi-custom or fully custom design tailored to your needs.

Simply send us your bra, and we’ll craft a custom or semi-custom base that fits you perfectly.

How It Works

1. Place your deposit or full payment based on your budget & service level.
2. Download instructions for mailing your base garments, bra, or separates, and note your budget for the project.
3. Mail your item (for bras, adjust shoulder straps & indicate preferred back hooks).
4. We receive your item and make enhancements & alterations based on your pinned & noted preferences within your budget.
5. Receive regular updates throughout the process.
6. Option to upgrade enhancements if desired.
7. Your stage-ready costume ships once the final balance is paid.

Important Notes

📌 Photos shown depict past costumes created through this service, not the exact item you are ordering.
📌 Third-party garments: If you select this option, we are not responsible for third-party bases or bras. Please try on the item or ensure you know the fit of the maker’s style before sending it to us.
📌 Alterations: Put the item inside out and safety pin areas needing adjustments. A remote fitting will be required—please call or text us before sending your garment.

Agreement & Policies

• All agreements are documented via text/DM. Any discussions via phone, video chat, or in person will be recapped for record-keeping.
• Deposits are non-refundable.
• Final shipment occurs only after the balance is paid in full.

💡 Considerations & Recommendations for Your Custom Tattered Costume

If you choose to supply the base garment for a tattered, war-torn look, please note:

• Total Budget Allocation: The $200 allowance will be applied to the entire transformation—design, distressing, embellishment, and treatment of your garment.
• Separate Charges:
  • ✂️ Alterations are billed separately.
  • 💎 Rhinestones are also a separate charge.
• Shipping Costs: If shipping is included within the $200, it will reduce the amount available for the garment’s creation and detailing.
• Transaction Fees: Payment processing fees (PayPal, credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.) are deducted from the $200 total, impacting the budget available for your garment.

💰 Payment Recommendations

To maximize value and receive the best pricing tier:

• Preferred Method: We recommend Zelle, which is treated as “same as cash.” Costumes paid via Zelle qualify for our most favorable pricing.
• International Clients: Wire transfers are accepted and also qualify for the same cash-based pricing structure.

If you opt to use a third-party payment processor, please note that a different pricing structure will apply to accommodate associated fees. We’re just trying to help you stretch your dollar!
