Addressing Tariffs: Specifically, Trump’s Crazy Tariffs

The Setting

We have been operating under our brands since 2013.  By 2018, we were focused on our booming hobby-business and no longer tied to only one dance studio. 

Since that time, we have started to “collect” an assortment of fabrics, notions, and embellishments, whether they be an over supply or just because we came across a great buy and couldn’t pass it up. How did we come about such finds?  Well let me tell you, we are within driving distance to two West Coast Garment Districts, which gives us unlimited access to new from the warehouses to overstock of manufacturers’ runs.

The “Stuff”

We have performance spandex in a wide variety of colors and patterns, power-mesh, mesh, burlesque mesh, skirting and applique materials, feathers in ostrich, chandelle, and maribou. And we have rhinestones!  Fabulous Rhinestones from three European countries!  On hand, we could easily make hundreds of costumes, stage-ready. 

What do we do with all that stuff?

We offer these special on-hand fabrics at a discount to our customers. They are mainly used for ContenderWear and Plain Brown Label Custom Costumes, but can also be used for makes of our other brands.  We even sell excess fabrics by the yard and fractions thereof.  We just don’t have time to put them all on the website. 

Ordering Fabric Colors & Things Not On-Hand

Rest assured that you can still choose your desired colors from our manufacturers’ color charts if we do not have them on-hand, but just know that our suppliers may have an increase in pricing for your order due to our current economic situation. Those newly ordered items will reflect any bump in price on your invoice, should you choose to go that route.

Our On-Line Sample Quotes

In the immediate future, we will not be adjusting our pricing noted on our sample quotes. As always line-item invoicing is based on cost of goods, and we have a lot of untariffed goods on hand.
